At Tailwind we take the traditional “discovery” or “introductory” fight to a whole new level. We offer three basic configurations, but we can also customize a flight experience to suit your needs.
Introductory Discovery Flight
This flight is only $99.00 and is an intro flight for those considering flight instruction or just wanting to learn a little more about flying. These flights are short in duration, but allow the prospective aviator to experience a flight lesson. Each lesson starts with about 20 minutes of pre-flight ground instruction and then the student will spend about 30 minutes flying the airplane with the instructor. The lesson concludes with about a 15 minute post flight review. Students may bring a guest with them on their flight. The new pilots are given a logbook and a certificate of completion at the end of their experience.
Intermediate Discovery Flight – MOST POPULAR!
This flight expands the Introductory Discovery Flight for a more in-depth look into the world of Aviation. Students will plan their own flight experience. Start your flight with 45 minutes of ground instruction and flight planning, then fly the 1 hour flight plan and finish your flight with a flight review and some post-flight discussion. This flight will give the student an intermediate look into aviation and the necessary training to achieve a pilot’s license. This intermediate discovery flight costs $219.00. Students may bring a guest with them on their flight. The new pilots are given a logbook and a certificate of completion at the end of their experience.
Discovery Flight Adventure
Immerse yourself in the ultimate flight experience. Our Discovery Flight Adventure includes an hour of ground instruction, followed by approximately 2 hours of hands on flight instruction, and will conclude with a post flight follow-up. This flight is custom designed by you, and exposes you to the world of aviation and the opportunities that await you as a pilot. This ultimate flight experience costs only $319.00. Students may bring a guest with them on this experience. The new pilots are given a logbook and a certificate of completion at the end of their experience.
