“Outagamie County Regional Airport will host an open house to reveal the Platinum Flight Center, a new fixed base operator facility, Thursday, Oct. 14 from 3 to 6 p.m.

An FBO is the primary provider of services at an airport, such as fuel and maintenance, for general, corporate, and commercial aviation. Other services typically include hangar storage and air charter, but the Platinum Flight Center will offer many other unique amenities to its visitors.

“We are committed to the revitalization and future growth of corporate and general aviation at ATW,” said Marty Lenss, director of the Outagamie County Regional Airport. “An FBO in a community can be viewed as our front door. It is the first and last impression of many business people traveling through the fox valley. We will be putting our best foot forward with polished facilities and excellent customer service.”

The Platinum Flight Center will have concierge services for private flight crew and passengers, rest lounges, and a flight school open to the general public with a state-of-the-art flight simulator.

The Platinum Flight Center has also developed a phone application that will allow incoming general aircraft operators to arrange ground transportation, check gasoline prices, find runway coordinates, and make hotel reservations.

“The phone application makes it extremely convenient for pilots to visit and stay in the area,” said Lenss. “It also offers a mobile version of our concierge service for local activities, events, and restaurants.”

The Platinum Flight Center official ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 3:30 p.m., and tours will continue throughout the event. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will also be provided.” Source: Marketplace Today Blog – Outagamie County airport opening Platinum Flight Center
